TANKA and HAIKU poems by Maria Tosti

TANKA

... yakamoz -

swaying over the bosphorus

moonbeams

the first boats out to sea

fishing for hopes

***

it rains in the city -

in your mavi eyes

I rediscover the sky

I close myself in your embrace

oblivious to the world

***

nostalgic tour -

the last ride downtown

with the red tram

your perfume inebriates

sequences of memories

***

HAIKU

one thousand and one nights -

lit lanterns and spices

at the grand bazaar

***

on the waterfront -

at lunch your smile

between tea and simit

***

night photos -

two lovers and behind

the red bridge
