RESILIENCE’S SONG

Marlon Salem Gruezo-Bondroff

Philippines-USA

In the labyrinth of life, we tread,

Where shadows cling and hopes seem dead,

Each dawn whispers tales of strife,

Yet within us burns a tenacious life.

The sun ascends, a fragile flame,

Its warmth a balm for wounds unnamed.

We rise, our hearts a symphony,

Defying darkness with audacity.

Our footsteps etch upon rugged paths,

Where jagged stones and sorrows clash.

But see—the scars, they weave a tale,

Of battles fought, of strength unveiled.

Storms assail, winds howl their rage,

Yet deep within, a quiet courage engages.

We seek refuge in the arms of grace,

Where tears are rainbows, fears efface.

Loneliness hums its melancholy tune,

Yet solitude births resilience soon.

In quietude, we mend our wings,

And soar above life’s tempest strings.

The moon, a silver witness to our plight,

Whispers secrets through the velvet night.

Promises shimmer like stardust above,

Guiding us toward hope, relentless love.

So when despair knocks, and shadows loom, Remember this: within you, a universe blooms.

For life’s challenges, though fierce and wild,

Are but verses in resilience’s unwritten child.
