PRAYER TO GODS FOR APOCALYPSE- A Poem by Jernail S Aanand

PRAYER TO GODS FOR APOCALYPSE

Jernail S Aanand

Are we human?

Making war weapons ?

Killing human beings

Kids and innocent civilians?

In the name of God himself!

I have severe doubts

I pray to gods to destroy

The whole empire of madness

And start their experiment

With homeo sapiens all over again

The entire game has gone out of hand

Knowledge means

Power to destroy Your empire

And You are looking down

In despair.

You didn't bargain for Nagasaki

You had not bargained

For Concentration Camps

Why you send Neroes

Time and again?

What scores remain to be settled?

Ukraine, Russia, Israel Hamas

Gods!

Look below at the blood

And answer the cries?

You cannot do this

Is your wink so long that men

Can undo all the good that they have done

In a few seconds and reduce

Every thing to rubble?

Take away the voice of the leaders

Who give calls for strife.

Still the loud noise

Of tanks, rockets and missiles

And declare sacrilegious killing of innocence.

If men are in no mood to listen

Wash away the victor along with the victim

And let a new man with wisdom

(instead of knowledge)

Rise from the debris of this mad civilization.
