Melancholy Soul by Roza Khan

Melancholy Soul

Roza Khan

A room darkest of all looks

A cupboard full of dusted books,

Table light flickering all around

It seems a paper was lying on the ground

Not understanding anything right?

How can you, but the student was bright!

He wanted nothing but a someone

Who could understand his lament but there was no one.

In halls of learning were dreams unfold,

A silent struggle, young hearts to hold.

A cry for help, a whisper in night,

No one was there for helping them right?

He was earning for hope

but the only friend left of his was a rope!

Yes agree I, that his last attempt will be gone soon

But doesn't our society know that he was trying too!

Again a news come of a beautiful soul leaving us,

Might be she was a pilot, he was an artist, she was a writer!

But who cares! A human becomes only a destructer!

A news a day keeps your head away,

This happening in country like ours?

No way!

You know what was in the letter lying on the ground?

It was- Ma, baba! I tried , I tried I swear!

But this time it was my heart ensanguined with wound!

In shadows deep, your pain we see,

A silent cry, a soul's last plea.

But know your voice now lights the sky,

A star that whispers, you still try.
