In shadows cast by sorrow's heavy veil,
Where broken hearts and weary spirits live,
A whisper soft as twilight's gentle wail,
"I am here for you," a promise whispered,
In the depths of night, when dreams have fled away,
And hope was just at a distant light,
You came to mend the rubbles, piece by piece,
To lift my soul and guide me through the night.
With words of warmth, you soothed my aching soul,
A balm to heal the wounds that life has formed,
You weave a drapery of dreams untold,
And kindle sparks of hope where there were naught.
Yet know this truth, as dawn begins to break,
Your presence was, just a passing thing,
Like a morning mist on the lake,
You vanished like the morning moon,
It was just a sentence, spoken soft and blur,
A fleeting promise in the dead of night,
Remember, though the shadows may encroach,
And life's harsh trials may seek to entangle,
Within my heart, your whispered words
"I am here for you"
